Buzo, Paddington

Buzo, Paddington

Bottom Line – The food was tasty and the atmosphere was nice, but we’d still recommend Il Baretto or A Tavola first.

We came here the other night for Valentines day. It was delicious – don’t get me wrong…I ate every little morsel on my plate. Every single bit of my starter, main and dessert. Nothing left at all. But…I still prefer both Il Baretto or A Tavola for Italian food. For both quality of food as well as value – those two just can’t be beat. Buzo was just a bit too pricey and a tiny bit too fancy for the food that we had. Also – the service could have been better. We had about 3 different waiters who were attending to our table as well as all the others. It was a bit strange, but for some reason I was getting the feeling that none of the servers liked one another? Not really in the Valentines spirit…now is it?If you do find yourself there though – enjoy the melt-in-your mouth gnocchi and the delicious duck ragu (which is prepared with more of a tomato base rather than the cream base you typically see). And leave room for dessert because the berry trifle thing was yummy.
