Bottom line: Wasn’t impressed, but maybe I need to give it another try?

People love this place, but either I ordered the wrong thing or everyone is a liar. There is always a crowd of people surrounding this place on Crown street awaiting a table.  Be came in for lunch a little later in the day so we luckily didn’t have to wait for a table. The staff is super friendly and lovely, but I was not all the impressed with my meal.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I don’t like mayonnaise (I know…I know – I’m nuts), but I forgot to order it without mayo so I ate around the mayo smothered side of the bread. I guess my idea of a pulled pork sandwich is shredded pork, smothered in BBQ sauce, maybe some caramelized onions in there, all atop a delicious soft bun. This was not that. It was shredded pork, with lettuce and tomato. And it was dry. Really dry. I suppose they serve it with mayo to mask the dryness…

McKay had the steak sandwich, which he liked just fine. I didn’t try it because, of course, like most normal people, he ordered it with mayo.
