One great thing about Margan is that they keep their portion sizes small so you can try lots of things. You have the option to 3-, 4-, and 5-course meals.
And of course, Margan has some of the best wine in Australia. And since they grow it on location, it very reasonably priced on their dinner menu. The most notable wine we had was a very traditional, big cabernet from 2000. We tried to buy a few bottles to take home. However, their inventory is too low so they would sell it to us. But to make up for it, they escorted us into the tasting room and let us try the current Cab vintage to purchase. Although it wasn’t as good as the 2000, for just $22 it was too good of a deal to pass up and still a very nice wine. Perhaps if we have the patience to save it for 10 years, it’ll taste just as good.
